In an unprecedented act of collective protest, the officers, delegates, and numerous Precinct Committee Persons (PCPs) of the Josephine County 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 (𝗝𝗖𝗥𝗖𝗖) will gather on the steps of the 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟰, 𝗮𝘁 𝟵:𝟬𝟬 𝗮.𝗺. to formally submit their resignations.

This coordinated resignation follows weeks of turmoil within the county party, including what members describe as a “fraudulent and unsanctioned recall process” that violated both the 𝗝𝗖𝗥𝗖𝗖 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆 (𝗢𝗥𝗣) 𝗯𝘆𝗹𝗮𝘄𝘀. The outgoing officers cite widespread misinformation, unethical conduct, and a breakdown of transparency as key reasons for their decision to step down.

“The actions taken against Chair Joseph Rice and the disregard for our governing bylaws have destroyed public trust and made it impossible for us to serve in good conscience,” the resigning officers said in a joint statement. “We will not participate in a system that tolerates dishonesty and manipulation for personal gain. Integrity must come before politics.”

The resignations include officers, 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗵 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗽 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝘇𝗻𝗲𝗿, 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗹𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗜𝗜 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗪𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝗻𝗮𝗽𝗽, along with all appointed leadership positions and a growing number of PCPs who share concerns about the party’s direction. Currently, there are 45 resignations, with more expected to follow.

As all JCRCC Officers have resigned, this places the Josephine County Republican Party into an unorganized status, requiring the Oregon Republican Party, ORP, to step in and reorganize the party.

The group emphasized that their departure is not a surrender of conservative values but rather a stand for them. Many of the departing members have since aligned with 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆, a grassroots organization committed to restoring honesty, unity, and accountability in local politics.

“The Republican Party should stand for truth and integrity — not division and deceit,” said former Chair Joseph Rice. “We hope that this resignation serves as a wake-up call to every conservative in Oregon who believes in ethical leadership and transparency.”

Community members and media are invited to attend a brief public statement and resignation handover on 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟰, 𝗮𝘁 𝟵:𝟬𝟬 𝗮.𝗺. 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲, 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝟱𝟬𝟬 𝗡𝗪 𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁, 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀.
